4.500 in. Taper Per Foot with .87 in. diameter at Large End of Taper. For 1.250 in. ID Diamond, CBN, and Vitrified Wheels. Used on all Cincinnati NO. 1 and NO. 2 spindles, Covel, and Gallmeyer & Livingston Cutter grinders; or any spindle with .87 in. diameter at the Large End of Taper and 4.500 in. Taper Per Foot. CINCINNATI TAPER "NEW STYLE" REVERSIBLE WHEEL ADAPTER. A precision ground double-taper makes wheel mounting in opposite directions safe and reliable. Grinding wheel edges wear during use, but obtaining a new sharp edge is as easy as reversing the adapter on the spindle. Designed for the newer Cincinnati direct motorized and timing belt driven spindles having a 1/8 in. key in the taper. The adapter comes complete with a 3/8-16RH (Catalog # 14362) mounting bolt. -Formed wheels are used either way, without redressing. -Can be REVERSED without DISMOUNTING the wheel for prolonged square corner life of diamond wheels. -SOPKO reversible wheel adapters make it possible to use the same dressed angle for BOTH RIGHT AND LEFT GROUND TOOL BITS. EASY TO USE-Just remove the adapter from the spindle nose and REMOUNT in the reverse direction. SAFE TO USE-SOPKO reversible wheel adapters are manufactured with a double-taper, and are securely locked against loosening by the wheel rotation. Manufactured from quality steel, then HARDENED AND GROUND to withstand the rigors of daily use.
